• Chat Messages: Messages exchanged within group chats.

This data is stored securely in the cloud to allow you to access it from multiple devices.

1.3 Device Permissions

To provide specific features, we request access to the following device capabilities:

Contacts (READ_CONTACTS):

• Purpose: To allow you to easily add friends and family to your expense groups without manually typing their details.
• Usage: Contact data is used solely for search and selection within the app. We do not sell or share your contact list with third parties.

Camera & Photo Library (CAMERA, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE):

• Purpose: To allow you to upload profile pictures.
• Usage: Images are uploaded to our secure servers only when you explicitly choose to do so.

Internet Access (INTERNET):

• Purpose: To sync your data with our cloud servers so you can access it anywhere.

2. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to ensure the best experience. These services may collect information used to identify you:

• Google Firebase: We use Firebase for Authentication (logging you in) and Cloud Messaging (notifications).
• Google Analytics: May be used to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app (e.g., verifying which features are most popular).

4. Children’s Privacy

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
